The Movement

Reflectionism is an emerging contemporary art movement that transforms classical oil painting into a three-dimensional experience. Based on the Reflectionist Principle, that whatever energy humans put out is reflected back by the universe, as artists, we choose to infuse our paintings with positive energy. Because the three-dimensional surface continuously changes in physical space, a Reflectionist work cannot be fully understood through a phone, computer, or reproduced image and must be experienced in person.

A movement founded in 2001.
Presented in the year the world stopped making things.

Most of what is called art today arrives as a file. An image generated by software. An object fabricated by an assistant. A photograph taken by a hired hand. The artist supplies the idea. Someone else supplies the labor.

Each painting takes me twenty-five years and three hours. A lifetime of practice, and the hours the knife is in the paint.
